  1. Crappy cheap design flaw in Bose sound system.

I am using a Bose L1 model l system. I have been a huge fan of Bose for decades as an sound engineer have promoted Bose sound systems for years.

However today I have changed my mind about Bose sound systems-at least the L1 Model l system.

The L1 model 1 consists of a power stand and L1 model 1 Cylindrical Radiator loudspeakers-a top and bottom for each power stand. We have used this system for several years and have been happy with the sound quality and ease of setting up.

However today while setting up I noticed that the top of the bottom cylindrical radiator loudspeaker was cracked. Upon further inspection, I realized that both ends of these cylindrical radiator loudspeakers is plastic…..yes plastic and had cracked and could no longer be connected

How can a 2000 dollar sound system with heavy speaker columns, with electrical connections be plastic? This is the most pathetic engineering mistake i have ever seen! To save a few dollars the use of plastic?

Can these ends be ordered? I feel due to the blunder of the engineering of the speakers using plastic instead of aluminum or some other metal, that this should be replaced free. However if not free what is the cost?

I am extremely frustrated, disappointed and upset that our Bose sound system is not able to be used to its fullest potential due to this Bose Engineering oversight.

    Please advise.

    Regards,

    Paul Singh

  2. Manufacturing Defect in Q35 Headphones

    Dear Sirs,

It is with deep regret i write to you about the Bose Q35 (Wireless, HDPH, Black, WW) series headphones bearing Model No.759944-0010 brought in Dubai, UAE.

I purchase Bose products as they are no ordinary products and as a consumer i expect to receive nothing but best after paying a premium price.

The Q35 series has a manufacturing fault and it switches on by itself. I realise that this complaint should have been registered a while ago, however, the delay in registering should not be an excuse for rectifying a product with manufacturing defect, due to no fault of the customer.

A product having a manufacturing fault should not be subject to warranty limitations and with “Bose”, quality is expected to be delivered.

The headphones switch on by itself and saturates the battery in no time. In fact, this is been reoccurring from the time i actually started using the product (but initially thought that it was a user problem – this is the extent i trust in Bose).

We were unable to resolve it with a software update as well.

Upon looking up online, I understand that it is common knowledge in Bose Online Community that this particular model of Q35 headphones came with such manufacturing defect and customers have reported similar issues, which Bose has not ignored and attended to in the past.

I had approached Bose store in Dubai Mall requesting that the product be repaired at least if not traded in (considering it is purchased from E-Max Ibn Battuta store under Invoice No.CCINV-1170069789 dated 2/8/2016 for AED.1,449)). Upon Stefan’s advice (CS Supervisor of Dubai Mall store) to approach E-Max for a replacement and to inform them that Bose does recognise that it is a faulty product, I did that but to no avail. The CS Lady (Ms.Aarti) in E-Max (Dubai Mall store) initially refused to even hear to my complaint considering that it is a 2016 purchase. However, upon insisting on the issue and explaining her of the manufacturing fault she agreed to raise the issue with the back office / Bose.

I am a Bose customer and regardless of whether i purchase through Bose directly or through its dealers, I expect that certain corrective measures are taken to appease a gruntled customer, who after paying such a hefty price has never been able to make good use of the headphones till date, due to the manufacturing defect.

I have been made empty promises both at Bose and E-Max store that they will look into it but by the look of it, it does not even sound convincing. Therefore, I have no recourse but to attempt to bring this to the attention of the Head Office with a slim expectation of the superior customer service that Bose claims or should have. I am hoping my request will not go unheard or unattended.

Looking forward on receiving a positive feedback.

    Sincerely,

    A disheartened Customer
    Manju Fernandes

  3. Bose has Lost a 27 year customer 8-27-2019

I just bought a SoundWear Companion speaker that I received today.
    BLACK
    ORDER NUMBER
    WH07712703
    Serial number: 074417280721053AE
    No longer in warranty

To find out after registering the product it says, “Out Of warranty”.
After no help from the chat site option and spending 20 minutes I then looked at the connected APP to find out that the manufacture date was 1 1/2 years ago. March of 2018.

I then called Bose and they seem to think this is no problem. They said they will still honor the 1 year warranty. Really! After that unit and especially the battery has been sitting on a shelf for 1 1/2 years. Are they just not selling them?
The person on the phone never even thought to themselves let’s send him a new one that is current and that will make him happy. Nope just said for me now to email them the receipt and some other stuff ( I stop listening at that point).

I’m 45 years old and have been buying Bose products since I was 15 years old. Bose is all over my house. I just told the person to send me a return box and you can have them back.

Bose just lost a customer that has always brought the best and most expensive items Bose makes for over 25 years.

    NOT GOOD BOSE !

Very disappointed! Lot’s of competition out now.

  4. Very very difficult service and communication. This is the last Bose (unfortunately..) that I’m doing to buy.
I have been, for more than a month, sending this message, and nobody seems to be getting back to me…

My name is Yadin Kaplansky, BOSE REFERENCE: RE00049137,
    phone number: +972544269844
    email: yadlin160577@gmail.com.

I’ve asked to return a speaker and got this UPS label: 1Z4019RY9090816164.

Since I’m abroad, I spoke to a representative on the phone and asked to send the speaker, at my expense back to your warehouse in the US. She provided me with this address to send the speaker to:
    Bose factory repair
    800 patrol road
    Suit #200
    Jeffersonville
    Indiana 47130-7760
    USA

The representative had also assigned this number to my request: 703499548

I’d like to let you know that the Speaker is on the way to the Bose factory Repair, I send it with EMS and the tracking number is: EE 182217945 IL.

    Would you please,
    Please confirm?
